Purchase means that the transaction was classified as a purchase based on the vendor’s merchant category code. Typically, with a purchase you receive a product or service in exchange for the payment. Some things that are typically not classified as purchases include bill payments, loan payments, mortgage payments, car note (i.e. car loan) payments, credit card payments, ATM withdrawals, card to bank transfers, card to card transfers, and any transaction that is classified as cash or quasi-cash.
Note: Any purchase that was made using your Routing and DDA numbers do not count towards FriendSpend Rewards, and purchases categorized as cash or quasi-cash are not
eligible for FriendSpend Rewards.
